Module I: All-Hazards Disaster Response and Protection for Healthcare Personnel Awareness

Date: Tuesday, March 27, 2018, 8:00 AM

Location: Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge, MA

Overview: Through lecture and didactic discussion, participants will learn about recognizing a potential disaster incident and its corresponding threats. With its focus on healthcare personnel, the course will conclude by presenting material on the topics of victim management, personal preparedness and personal protective equipment.

·        OEMS: This course is approved for 3.0 hours of OEMS credit at the Basic Level.

Module II: All Hazards Disaster Response and Protection for Healthcare Personnel Operations

Date: Tuesday, March 27, 2018, 12:30 PM

Location: Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge, MA

Overview: This course builds on Module I to prepare students to properly inspect, assemble, and operate Air-Purifying Respirators (APRs) and Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPRs). Students will be shown proper inspection techniques, donning, operating procedures while in the suit, and doffing.
